
Dan Gaugler, one of the founding partners of Fairway Wealth Management, has over 20 years experience providing integrated wealth management services to high net worth families, individuals, and fiduciaries. In 2008 he was named one of the country’s top 250 wealth advisors by Worth Magazine. Dan serves as lead advisor to approximately 40 of Fairway’s clients and is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the firm.
In 1986 Dan began his financial industry career as a tax consultant at Deloitte & Touche. In 1991 he left Deloitte to become an account executive at Investment Advisors International, then a division of IMG, the world’s premier sports marketing firm. Dan returned to Deloitte in 1996 to join the team that developed and launched the firm’s investment advisory and financial counseling business. He then led Deloitte’s Private Client unit in Cleveland, Ohio until 2002, when he co-founded Fairway Wealth Management with Mark Weiskind.
Dan earned a BSBA in Accounting from John Carroll University in 1986 and an MBA in Finance at Cleveland State University in 1993. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist (“CPA/PFS”), and Certified Financial Planner (“CFP”), and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Planning Association. Dan is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Great Lakes Construction Companies, Inc. He lives in Strongsville, Ohio with his wife, Janet, and their three daughters.
